Choral Club Spring Concert, 2017

Mark your calendars now for Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Join us for Choral Club’s end-of-season concert and fundraising event at 7pm on Saturday, May 13, 2021, at the historic Point Loma Assembly building at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma. The repertoire is fantastic this season, featuring American classics old and new, including songs by such divers composers as Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael and Irving Berlin, to Lerner and Loewe, Burt Bacharach, and Barry Gibb. Raffle, silent auction, and refreshments available. ADA accessible.

Enjoy a pre-show mixer, then a concert featuring all of your favorites. Hear classics including “Blue Skies,” “You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To,” Stardust,” along with a whole bunch of songs (medley-style) from Burt Bacharach and the musical “Grease,” plus much more.

The concert will last approximately 90 minutes (including an intermission) and include a raffle and silent auction before the show and during intermission. Raffle and silent-auction items include hot-air balloon rides, Polo Lessons (for you horse-lovers in the audience), and gift bags from local merchants, Choral Club tickets and logo merchandise, and lots of gift cards.

Spring Season Concert 2013 a Smashing Success

Choral Club of San Diego held its End-of-Season Concert and Fundraising event May 18, 2013. The event was a great success, breaking records both for fundraising and attendance. Audiences praised the singers, and the organizers.

This season saw many changes to the event format. For the first time, the event was held on a Saturday evening. The evening began with a reception, raffle and silent auction, followed by the main Choral Club of San Diego Concert.

The reception included performances by CCSD scholarship winners Mindy Chu and Chelsea Seener, and exceptional desserts hand-made by CCSD member Donna Thuerauf and volunteers. The concert followed with a new musical repertoire, “From Bach to Bacharach,” showcasing popular songs from the last three centuries.

This season’s concert was such a success that the group has outgrown its venue. Join Choral Club of San Diego on December 14, 2020 for their holiday season concert at its new location, Liberty Hall Theatre at Paradise Village, National City, CA.

Choral Club 2012 Fall/Winter Season Begins Sunday

Choral Club of San Diego opens its 2012 fall/winter performance season Sunday November 25th. The organization’s first sing-out will be held at Emeritus of Carmel Valley Sunday, November 25th beginning at 2:30pm.

The CCSD season continues through December 15th with eight more performances at San Diego retirement communities, including Wesley Palms, Casa de Manana, Canyon Villas, Casa de Las Companas, Crest View Manor and more.

The 2012 Fall/Winter season culminates with the semi-annual CCSD End-of-Season concert. Choral Club of San Diego will celebrate the holiday season with a joyous public concert and fundraising party December 15, 2020 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1370 Euclid Avenue, San Diego.

The concert begins at 3pm, followed by a reception and fundraising party at 4pm with refreshments, desserts and savories, a raffle and silent auction. Attendees are encouraged to mingle with the talented Choral Club singer//volunteers, purchase raffle tickets, and bid on items in a silent auction. Raffle and silent auction items have been donated by local businesses such as Milagro Winery, Sycuan Resort and Casino, The Cheesecake Factory, Hash House A Go Go, Harbor House Seafood Restaurant, Edgewater Grill, Curves, Total Woman Gym and Day Spa, The Original Pancake House, Fresh & Easy, Trader Joe’s and more. Proceeds benefit Choral Club of San Diego and its scholarship program.

Concert attendees can now purchase $10 tickets in advance. Each concert ticket includes one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased before the event*.
