Performance at Friday Night Liberty Arts and Open House
at the Women’s Museum of California
Liberty Station Marketplace
In association with the NTC Foundation
The Women’s Museum of California is one of only six museums of women’s history in the country.
Since 1997 the Women’s Museum of California evolved into a full-fledged women’s history museum and valuable community educational resource. With the help of many volunteers and a dedicated staff, the WMC features a variety of changing exhibits and displays on women’s history, sponsors workshop and lecture series, develops and implements educational and cultural events, including art shows, live performances and presentations; maintains a library, archive & collections; and provides speakers for the community through its Speakers’ Bureau. The WMC is a co-founder and sponsor of the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame. We collaborate with dozens of women’s and girl’s organizations and agencies throughout San Diego.
Founded in 1983 as the Women’s History Reclamation Project, WM is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Choral Club’s spring season kicked off Sunday, April 24 with a concert at the Veterans Home of California, Chula Vista. We are always delighted and honored to entertain veterans who have given so much for their country.
We have a packed performance schedule through May, including numerous appearances at area retirement communities and a few exciting public appearances.
Choral Club will be singing during Friday Night Liberty at Liberty Station Marketplace on Friday, May 6. Join us at the Women’s Museum (Barracks 16, 2730 Historic Decatur Road) for a rousing preview of our main concert coming up later in May, also at Liberty Station.
Horton Plaza Park, June 4, 2016, 2-4pm. CCSD is proud to be a part of the Park Unplugged series at the newly unveiled Horton Plaza Park and performance space. The Park Unplugged series showcases free family-friendly entertainment for all ages in the heart of downtown San Diego.
Finally, on Thursday May 26th, we present “Great American Road Trip,” an event honoring women who serve. In conjunction with the Armed Services YMCA, we acknowledge the often under-appreciated dedication of active-duty women and military families to the cause of serving our country. The concert is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank service women and volunteers who have dedicated themselves to the San Diego military community. Raffle, silent auction, and donation opportunities. Proceeds benefit Choral Club of San Diego and Armed Services YMCA Programs for military women and military families .
