Holiday Concert, Fall 2019

Join us Wednesday, December 18, 2020 for Choral Club’s end-of-season concert and fundraising event at the historic Point Loma Assembly building at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma.

Bells will be ringing at this star-studded holiday event celebrating the 80th Anniversary of Choral Club of San Diego.

Doors open for our Champagne holiday happy hour at 6:15 (drop in straight from work!). Enjoy nibbles, champagne, beer and wine and the music of Dr. Kyle Adam Blair. Browse raffle items and mingle with the Mink Pack and Club Singers. Concert begins at 7pm.

Enjoy old and new favorites like “Catch a Falling Star,” “Stardust,” “Miss you Most at Christmastime,” and “Perfect Christmas Night” (from How the Grinch Stole Christmas). Sing and swing along with new and classic versions of holiday favorites like “Carol of the Bells,” “Caroling, Caroling” and “Ding, Dong Merrily on High.” Special appearances by the Mink Pack and Dr. Kyle Adam Blair.

The concert will last approximately 75 minutes and includes a raffle before the show and during intermission. All proceeds benefit Choral Club of San Diego programs and scholarships.

Spring Concert - WONDER WOMEN - June 7th, 2019

Join us Friday, June 7th, 2019 for Choral Club’s joyous end-of-season concert and fundraising event at the historic Point Loma Assembly building at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma.

We’ll be rocking the house with Girl Power numbers from Billie Holiday to Beyonce, Judy Garland to Lady Gaga, with medley tributes to Aretha Franklin and Madonna, plus lots more.

Special appearances by our 2019 Voice Scholarship winners, the Mink Pack and Dr. Kyle Adam Blair. Beer, wine, and refreshments available. Tickets start at $20.

Laughter in the Rain, Spring Concert 2018

Join us Sunday May 20, 2021 for Choral Club’s end-of-season concert and fundraising event at the historic Point Loma Assembly building at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma.
 
We’re going all 60s this season with a medley of Neil Sedaka classics, “Love Will keep Us Together” “Calendar Boy?), ” and of course, “Laughter in the Rain.” Also included are hits like “My Guy,” “For All We know,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” a Stevie Wonder Medley, and more.
 
Enjoy a pre-show mixer, including performances by our scholarship winners and Choral Club’s small ensemble, the Mink Pack.
 
The concert will last approximately 70 minutes and includes a raffle and silent auction before the show and during intermission. All proceeds benefit Choral Club of San Diego programs and scholarships.

Join us for Choral Club’s end-of-season concert and fundraising event at 7pm on Saturday, May 13, 2021, at the historic Point Loma Assembly building at 3035 Talbot Street in Point Loma. The repertoire is fantastic this season, featuring American classics old and new, including songs by such divers composers as Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael and Irving Berlin, to Lerner and Loewe, Burt Bacharach, and Barry Gibb. Raffle, silent auction, and refreshments available. ADA accessible.

Enjoy a pre-show mixer, then a concert featuring all of your favorites. Hear classics including “Blue Skies,” “You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To,” Stardust,” along with a whole bunch of songs (medley-style) from Burt Bacharach and the musical “Grease,” plus much more.

The concert will last approximately 90 minutes (including an intermission) and include a raffle and silent auction before the show and during intermission. Raffle and silent-auction items include hot-air balloon rides, Polo Lessons (for you horse-lovers in the audience), and gift bags from local merchants, Choral Club tickets and logo merchandise, and lots of gift cards.

The Women’s Museum of California is one of only six museums of women’s history in the country.

Womens Museum of CaliforniaSince 1997 the Women’s Museum of California evolved into a full-fledged women’s history museum and valuable community educational resource. With the help of many volunteers and a dedicated staff, the WMC features a variety of changing exhibits and displays on women’s history, sponsors workshop and lecture series, develops and implements educational and cultural events, including art shows, live performances and presentations; maintains a library, archive & collections; and provides speakers for the community through its Speakers’ Bureau. The WMC is a co-founder and sponsor of the San Diego County Women’s Hall of Fame. We collaborate with dozens of women’s and girl’s organizations and agencies throughout San Diego.

Founded in 1983 as the Women’s History Reclamation Project, WM is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Join Choral Club of San Diego Thursday, May 26, 2021 for a musical road trip across America. Hear music by Carole King, the Beach Boys, Leiber and Stoller, and many more. Songs include Route 66, New York, New York, Chatanooga Choo Choo, Surfin’ Safari, Puttin’ on the Ritz, Under the Boardwalk, One Fine Day, Dancing in the Street, and medleys from Chicago, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.

The concert will be held at the beautiful North Chapel at Liberty Station Marketplace, on the site of the former Naval Training Center.

This season, we begin a partnership with Armed Services YMCA to acknowledge the often under-appreciated dedication of active-duty women and military families to the cause of serving our country. The concert is an opportunity to acknowledge and thank service women and volunteers who have dedicated themselves to the San Diego military community. Proceeds benefit Choral Club of San Diego and Armed Services YMCA Programs for military women and military families.

Choral Club of San Diego operates San Diego’s oldest continuously-running women’s chorus, dedicated to promoting public appreciation of choral and vocal music. Choral Club of San Diego is a 501(c)(3) California non-profit public benefit corporation. San Diego Armed Services YMCA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization dedicated to making military life easier. Their mission is to enhance the lives of service members and their families in mind, body, and spirit.
